The cutest plus one.
Where Demi Moore goes, Pilaf goes, too. The actress, who is up for an Oscar for her turn in The Substance, was spotted outside of the Jimmy Kimmel Live studio wearing a chic, gilded look—and, naturally, she had her favorite accessory on hand—her itty bitty micro Chihuahua, Pilaf.
Moore donned a black asymmetrical Schiaparelli halter-neck dress, with gold detailing, along with a black wool coat with mismatched gold buttons and threading. As she walked from the studio, she revealed the lining of the coat in a flash of magenta. For her footwear, she chose a pair of stiletto mules. She accessorized with black oval sunglasses and gold drop earrings. Her XL oval sunglasses and chunky gold detailed drop earrings. In her left arm, she carried Schiaparelli's black handbag with glamorous gold details and, of course, Pilaf.
By now, Pilaf is probably accustomed to being carried around as part of a chic couture look. Moore has proudly carried her while wearing a snakeprint bikini, a classic white tee and jeans, a checked Carolina Herrera skirt suit, a Harris Reed wallpaper gown, oversized parachute pants, and a tailored navy shorts suit. Indeed, there are a few trends this dog hasn’t been paired with.
Speaking of her favorite accessory to Vogue France, Moore said, “She is my traveling companion, my touchstone. She regulates the heart. She is a little healing, magical creature.”
Pilaf aside for a moment, Moore has had quite the year. After starring in The Substance, she earned some of the best reviews of her career. The role has already earned her her first Golden Globe and her first Oscar nod, an honor she said is “beyond her wildest dreams.”
Although Moore may have brought Pilaf to the Jimmy Kimmel studio, she didn’t make it on stage with her (although it wouldn’t be her first time on live TV). During her appearance, she opened up about her whirlwind year. “It’s really just been lovely. Wonderful,” she said. She then reflected on her now-famous Golden Globes speech in which she spoke about the misogyny she faced in her early career when she was dismissed as a “popcorn actress”. “I didn’t expect it. I was not prepared,” she said, adding, “I think I literally have to chalk that one up to some kind of divine intervention.”
