She doesn't miss.
Amal Clooney may not be a Hollywood actress, but she nails red carpet and black tie glamour every single time. The human rights lawyer attended The Albie Awards on September 26, presented by her and husband George Clooney's Clooney Foundation for Justice, in a stunning black gown that matched her date perfectly.
Amal wore Atelier Versace for the event, and kept her look classic. The black velvet gown had a plunging neckline and an Old Hollywood-inspired silhouette that hugged her hips and extended into a beautiful train that trailed behind her as she walked the red carpet.
The lawyer also opted for timeless accessories including a silver stack of bracelets, a smattering of rings, and dangling diamond earrings. For a pop of color, she added a red lipstick. George look equally stylish in a black tuxedo with a matching bowtie.
During the event, the couple couldn’t help but fawn over one another. While speaking People, George gushed, “I would support anything my wife is involved in. She’s always on the right side of history, and I’m always so proud to be in the same room with her no matter what and this is an event where we get to focus all the attention on the people who don’t get enough attention.”
Amal returned the sentiment, and added that her husband is “an amazing advocate, and it just means so much to me to be able to do this work together and for him to help bring to life some of the stories that we’re telling tonight.”
The glam date night for the Clooneys comes a day before their 10th wedding anniversary—the couple didn't share too much about their plans, but George hinted, "I’m taking her somewhere tonight, but she doesn’t know where.”
