The Queen of the North has slayed again.
Game of Thrones gave way to some of television’s most unforgettable moments. From the infamous Red Wedding to the triumphant Battle of the Bastards and an unforgivable botched ending (according to many super fans). Then, of course, there was the ethereal Daenerys Targaryen with her trademark white hair. It appears the Mother of Dragons’s icy locks did more than inspire the world—they inspired Sophie Turner’s latest look.
Turner, who starred in the hit HBO series for all eight seasons, stepped out in London last night in pearl-hued fringe minidress that looked like a big platinum blonde wig. The Joan star's fanciful frock featured dramatic shoulder pads, a high neckline, long sleeves, and thin, hair-like pieces of fabric all over that gave it a playful feel. She paired the Louis Vuitton creation with glossy black pointed-toe Christian Louboutin pumps and a black trunk purse with floral embellishments and a silver chain handle. Turner kept her accents minimal, opting for white-gold-and-diamond earrings from the Louis Vuitton High Jewelry collection.
As for beauty, the mom-of-two glammed up with a sultry smoky eye, fluttery eyelashes, a subtle peach blush, a natural lip, and a black manicure. She styled her strawberry blonde locks in a middle part and subtle waves.
Turner, who is an ambassador for the French fashion house, spoke about her relationship with the brand’s creative director, Nicolas Ghesquière, during an interview with Harper’s Bazaar. She explained how the creative pushes her out of her comfort zone, something that was undoubtedly a factor with last night’s look.
“It’s a very authentic relationship, because I love and respect Nicolas so much and we have a really good laugh together," she told the publication. "My everyday look is anything that’s comfortable—I don’t like things that are patterned or bold. But Nicolas brings that out in me when I’m on the red carpet. He knows how to make you feel good in beautiful, elaborate designs, but in a way that you’re not overpowered by them.”
Turner was honored by the outlet with a Woman of the Year award.
