The pop star loves a good Easter egg.
As any true Swiftie knows, Taylor Swift loves to drop Easter eggs with her music and fashion choices. The pop star’s appearance at the 2025 Grammy Awards on Sunday, February 2, was no exception, and was dripping with several references to her award-winning music catalog.
For the biggest night in music, Swift wore a custom, sparkling Vivienne Westwood corset dress in the color red. The singer-songwriter is well known for her love of the shade, and referenced it in her album and corresponding track Red which contains the fan favorite lyrics, "Loving him was red."
Swift further accessorized her look with a ruby colored “T” thigh chain accessory that was created by her stylist Joseph Cassell Falconer alongside Lorraine Schwartz (Schwartz notably created the the pop star’s custom Art Deco watch by Concord choker necklace at the 2024 Grammys).
The thigh chain may have been a reference to Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce. Fans additionally pointed out that the T chain is reminiscent of the necklace that High School Musical‘s Troy Bolton gave Gabriella Montez, which could also be a sweet reference to the pop star’s track, “So High School.” Swift also talked initial chains in Reputation‘s “Call It What You Want,” in which she sings, “I want to wear his initial on a chain ’round my neck.” Swift, however, talks about letters written on her thigh in “Guilty as Sin?” from The Tortured Poets Department: “What if he’s written ‘mine’ on my upper thigh/ Only in my mind?”
During the actual event, Swift attended solo and took on the duty as presenter at the Grammy Awards this year, and gave Beyoncé with the best country album award. While Swift was also nominated in six categories—"Fortnight" for record of the year, song of the year and best music video,The Tortured Poet Department for album of the year and best pop vocal album, and her "Us" collaboration with Gracie Abrams for best pop duo/group performance—Swift left the 2025 Grammy Awards with no wins.
