The French landmark can't compare to Queen B.
Beyoncé is in the City of Light—and even the French capital doesn’t hold a candle to a global superstar clad in a shimmering gold Gucci gown. Beyoncé touched down in Paris last week to celebrate her whisky brand, SirDavis, and today, she shared a carousel of super-glamorous, Mad Men-meets-Marilyn Monroe behind-the-scenes photos with the Eiffel Tower and her crew of revelers. In addition to shots of the singer clad in the plunging, halter-style sequined gown, the carousel (set to the French song “Laisse-moi Respirer” by The Vrooming Crew & Dolores) included an appearance from Jay-Z.
The post also included images of a dinner party, shots of Bey's bedazzled SirDavis minaudière, and even custom nail art featuring the beverage's stallion logo. Eagle-eyed Destiny's Child fans can spot a cameo from Kelly Rowland, and Bey even shouted out the staff by posing with a crew of chefs and servers.
"I’ve always been drawn to the power and confidence I feel when drinking quality whisky and wanted to invite more people to experience that feeling,” she shared in a statement. "When I discovered that my great-grandfather had been a moonshine man, it felt like my love for whisky was fated. SirDavis is a way for me to pay homage to him, uniting us through a new shared legacy."
She added that she's proud to be part of longstanding American tradition and can't wait for everyone to have a taste.
“In partnering with Moët Hennessy, we have crafted a delicious American whisky that respects tradition but also empowers people to experience something new and unique in the category," she finished. "You can taste it better than I could ever tell you—welcome, SirDavis.”
