Zendaya and her new diamond ring sparked rumors at the 2025 Golden Globes.
Just one day after Zendaya sparked engagement speculation at the 2025 Golden Globes by wearing a diamond ring on her wedding finger, sources are saying that the actress is engaged to her longtime boyfriend Tom Holland. On Monday, TMZ reported that a source close to the Spider-Man co-stars confirmed that the two are officially engaged after Holland proposed over the holidays at one of Zendaya’s family homes.
When Zendaya arrived on the Golden Globes red carpet on January 5, dripping in Old Hollywood glamour, fans were quick to point out the sparkler on her left ring finger. On the carpet, she wore the ring alongside stunning Bvlgari jewelry (Zendaya is a brand ambassador). Bvlgari released a press release about the jewelry, including details about her platinum diamond and tourmaline necklace, a right hand ring, and diamond stud earrings.
The designer, however, did not include any information about the diamond ring on her left hand, evidence that the ring was not from the brand, but Zendaya’s own piece. Later in the evening, she changed into a bedazzled slip dress, and removed all of her Bvglari jewelry—but not the presumed engagement ring. Eagle-eyed fans also noticed a new “T” tattoo on her chest, perhaps another nod to her new fiancé.
Engagement ring expert Zack Stone from U.K. jeweler Steven Stone estimated the ring to be worth around $300,000 and noted that it appears to be a button back ring, a signature of style of London designer Jessica McCormack (though, it is unconfirmed if the piece is one of her creations). "Zendaya's ring showcases a 6 carat cushion-cut diamond in a timeless solitaire setting, elegantly perched on a yellow gold band," Stone said in a statement. "Known for its antique-inspired design, the cushion-cut diamond is revered for its unique blend of elegance and romance. It’s said to symbolize individuality, adventure, and tradition—qualities that align perfectly with Zendaya’s distinctive style."
The Los Angeles Times also reported that one of their recently engaged staff members questioned Zendaya about a possible engagement by flashing her own bling. The actress, who was nominated at last night’s ceremony, “responded by flashing her own bling on her left hand, doing a sort of jazz-fingers motion,” per the publication. When the reporter pressed on by asking if she was, in fact, engaged to Holland. Zendaya reportedly “kept showing her ring, smiled coyly, and shrugged her shoulders mysteriously.”
Holland did not join Zendaya on the red carpet, however, he was later spotted inside the ceremony, where he supported his reported fiancée, who was nominated in the Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture–Musical or Comedy category for her role as Tashi in Challengers.
In a recent interview with Men’s Health, Holland said that he refrains from joining his lady on the carpet “Because it’s not my moment, it’s her moment, and if we go together, it’s about us.”
Holland and Zendaya first sparked dating rumors back in 2017 after meeting on the set of their film, Spider-Man: Homecoming.
InStyle reached out to Zendaya and Holland's reps for confirmation, but have not yet received a response,
