She made the whole place shimmer, literally.
Super Bowl LIX packed quite the punch last night. Among Lady Gaga’s surprise kick off performance, Jon Batiste’s jazzy rendition of the National Anthem, Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s buzzy halftime performance, a slate of star-studded commercials, and, a high-scoring game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles, there wasn’t a quiet moment. Even with everything going on on the field, there were plenty of eyes on the stands (which were packed with A-listers), specifically on Taylor Swift’s $3 million box. And, who can blame fans when she quite literally made the whole place shimmer with her WAG outfit that cost more than $65,000.
The “Fortnight” singer made her grand entrance into New Orleans’ Caesars Superdome in an all-white outfit, composed of a $3,800 oversize Saint Laurent blazer layered over a $1,300 Alaïa ribbed scoop neck sleeveless bodysuit. But, this was just the beginning: she added a pair of bedazzled Purple Brand denim shorts (a similar pair retails for $210), $1,120 cream-colored thigh-high Paris Texas boots, and a $990 red leather Givenchy purse.
Her ensemble only got more opulent from there, thanks to her pricey jewelry, which included a dainty gold and diamond Logan Hollowell hand chain that costs $4,350; a yellow gold, ruby, and diamond Effy Jewelry tennis bracelet that costs $6,000; a 14k yellow gold, ruby, and diamond Effy Jewelry band that costs $5,000; a yellow gold, ruby, and diamond Effy Jewelry ring that costs $12,000; a gold and diamond Cartier watch that costs $32,000; and her ruby "T" Lorraine Schwartz leg chain that she repurposed from the Grammys as a necklace.
The music mogul's glam looked just as rich, as she opted for her go-to black cat eye and red lip, while styling her honey-blonde locks down in soft waves.
Fans may have been surprised to see Swift go with a monochromatic color palette, as she was there to cheer on her man Travis Kelce and the rest of the Chiefs. However, she wasn’t the only one; fellow Chiefs W.A.G. Brittany Mahomes also opted for the neutral hue, which was believed to show solidarity with the Chiefs’ special white jerseys, which they donned as opposed to their traditional red and gold uniforms. While Swift’s support was apparent through her touches of red and her concentration on the game, Kansas ultimately lost to the Birds 40-22.
Even so, Swift was dressed like a winner, as per usual, and so was her beau. Kelce arrived for the big game in a rust-colored suit, glittery button-down shirt, and tinted shades, which oozed ’70s swag. Their matchy-matchy sparkles might’ve suggested some good old couple outfit coordination, however, according to Kelce, they don’t plan their ensembles together.
“I wouldn’t say we necessarily coordinate,” Kelce said during a recent press conference. “But, Tay’s always gonna be dressed head-to-toe looking the flyest.”
