A 'TTPD'-coded look and an 'Evermore' Easter egg all in one.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce continued to enjoy a little time off together during Kelce’s bye week as they stepped out for a second date night this weekend. After being spotted holding hands on a date in New York City on Friday evening, the pair headed out on the town once again grabbing dinner at Torrisi restaurant on Saturday night—and, once again, Swift put on an Easter egg-filled sartorial display.
For her second date night of the weekend, Swift wore a rather striking golden chartreuse set by Annie’s Ibiza. Both the fitted corset top and the matching pleated mini skirt were made with deadstock green velvet, giving the look a “rich and velvety texture,” as the brand’s website describes. While the Victorian, corseted style of the look fits right into the rest of Swift’s current Tortured Poets Department style era, it’s worth noting that the official name of the top and skirt is “Ivy,” which nods to Swift’s Evermore song of the same name. It’s also worth noting that this is not the first time Swift has turned to Annie’s Ibiza for a daring evening look—the dark blue sequinned mini dress that she famously wore during her Midnights era is also from the same brand. Dakota Johnson also wore Annie’s Ibiza’s cobweb dress during her Madame Web press tour.
Swift completed the look with a pair of Versace's Aevitas Platform Mules, Roberto Cavalli's Mirror Snake Shoulder Bag (a potential nod to her Reputation era), and Tilly Sveaas's Gold T-Bar Curb Link Necklace. She wore her hair down in loose, romantic waves with one tiny braid on the side and with her bangs swept subtly to one side of her forehead.
Kelce, meanwhile, wore a knit blue Marni golf polo and a pair of khaki cargo pants.
Swift wore a different corseted look the previous evening, pairing a lace black corset with a leather mini skirt for a 1989-coded look. Based on Swift’s latest looks, which seem to nod to a range of her previous eras, Swift really does seem to remain in her “eras era.”
Swift and Kelce’s weekend in New York comes after Swift seemingly missed her boyfriend’s public birthday bash, the Kelce Car Jam, on Oct. 5. She did, however, reportedly treat him to a private birthday dinner the following evening. Swift also recently made her third appearance of the NFL season when she supported Kelce from the stands of Arrowhead Stadium as the Chiefs took on the New Orleans Saints on Oct. 7.
