The 17-year-old is the spitting image of his famous mom.
Naomi Watts had a new cute date on her arm during her latest red carpet appearance. Rather than bring her husband, Billy Crudup, to the premiere of her new movie, The Friend, at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall for New York Film Festival on Thursday night, Watts, instead, was joined by her 17-year-old son Sasha.
For the occasion, the mother-son duo matched in all-black, with the actress opting for a black dress with a voluminous latex skirt and a sheer, strapless corseted bodice with strips of leather piping. She accessorized with a pair of pointed-toe black heels and giant crystal-embellished earrings with keyhole cut-outs. Her signature blonde bob was styled straight with a middle part, and she finished off her glam with nude lipstick and a swipe of coral blush.
Meanwhile, Sasha, who towered over Watts on the red carpet, coordinated with his mom in the same dark color palette, wearing a black T-shirt underneath his black blazer and a pair of slim black trousers with boots. With his blue eyes and blonde hair, the teen was the spitting image of his mom—his height, however, was seemingly passed down by his dad, Liev Schreiber.
In addition to Sasha, Watts and Schreiber also share a younger child named Kai, 15.
Watts and Schreiber were together for 11 years before they split in 2016. But in light of their breakup, the former couple have been open about their commitment to co-parenting and putting their children first. “We’re doing things very differently. I’m pretty proud of us, corny as that may sound,” Watts told Net-a-Porter in August 2019. “We’ve made it our absolute priority to be good and kind to each other and we’re absolutely committed to that.”
