She never misses.
I had no doubt that Margot Robbie’s maternity style would be impeccable given her ability to turn any press tour into her own personal runway (see: her entire catalogue of Barbie-inspired looks). But the actress and producer confirmed my theory during her latest red carpet appearance.
On Monday, Robbie joined the cast of the upcoming film My Old Ass, which is produced by Robbie and her husband Tom Ackerley's production company, LuckyChap Entertainment, during a screening of the Amazon MGM Studios movie. For the event (which marked her first carpet since the pregnancy news), Robbie wore a bump-baring charcoal-colored body-con dress with an asymmetric off-the-shoulder neckline, an ankle-length hem, and a subtle leg slit. The star styled the demure look with strappyblack sandals, a chunky gold bracelet, and matching statement earrings.
The actress's signature blonde hair was styled in a middle-parted, shoulder-length lob and she continued the minimal aesthetic for her glam, which included a dewy complexion and glossy lip.
Earlier this year, Robbie showed off her baby bump in a partially-unbuttoned shirt, and People later confirmed the news, with a source saying that she and Ackerley had “wanted to start a family for quite some time.”
“Family means a lot to both of them and they knew early on in their relationship being parents was something they really wanted," the source added.
In July, Robbie attended Wimbledon with her husband in a white-and-black polka-dot minidress and coordinating shawl. And at one point, the actress could be seen cradling her bump in the stands.
The couple first met on the set of Suite Française—Robbie played the role of Celine Joseph and Ackerley was an assistant director—in 2013 and later tied the knot in December 2016. The duo founded their production company in 2014 alongside Josey McNamara and Sophia Kerr.
