The Jenner sisters stole the show.
Kendall and Kylie Jenner put a skin-baring twist on sister dressing as they coordinated in two figure-hugging gowns at the 2024 Annual Academy Museum Gala. While walking the red carpet on Saturday, October 19, the reality stars played off each other’s outfits with contrasting cutouts and similar designs.
Kendall leaned into the bombshell memo with a black sculptural Schiaparelli creation which almost showed off her entire chest with bold boob and rib cutouts. The black halterneck dress, which was cinched at the neck with a sparkly brooch, closely hugged the model’s figure all the way down to the floor. The back of her floor-length gown also brought plenty of drama, thanks to a cutout design and a thigh-high slit that showed off her black silk sandal heels. Kendall channeled Marilyn Monroe with her glam, styling her freshly-dyed platinum lob into a side-parted style with soft curls that were tucked behind her ear to show off her diamond earrings. She accentuated her features with dark brows, slightly flushed cheeks, and a glossy nude lip.
While Kylie appeared to go for an opposite sartorial approach, contrasting Kendall’s all-black look with a sheer nude and black vintage Mugler gown, the similar silhouette and cutouts subtly appeared to riff on her big sister’s outfit. The makeup maven’s sleeveless sequin gown, which is from 1998, featured a crew neck design and a completely sheer bodice.
Unlike Kendall’s chest cutouts, Kylie’s dress featured a black tight skirt with huge hip cutouts in the same sheer sequin material. The design extended to the back of the dress with butt cutouts as well as visible corset boning. The Khy founder rounded out her bold look with pointy-toed black heels, diamond earrings, and a nude manicure. Styling her black hair in side-parted voluminous curls, Kylie also went for a more understated beauty look, matching her shimmery rose gold eyeshadow to her glossy pout.
