She made her Albie Awards debut an unforgettable one.
Last night, the stars showed up and showed out in a slew of glamorous looks at the third annual Albie Awards. The award ceremony, which was hosted by power couple George and Amal Clooney to honor the work of human rights activists all over the world, took place at the New York Public Library and saw everyone—from Emily Blunt and Cate Blanchett to Doja Cat and Shailene Woodley—put their best fashion foot forward on the red carpet.
But no one’s outfit was quite as bold as Gabrielle Union’s mint green Versace dress. Making her Albies debut alongside her husband, Dwyane Wade, Union opted for a one-shouldered satin gown with sparkly beading, ruching, and slashed cutouts across the bodice that offered a sexy peek at her midriff. As if that wasn’t enough, the dress also featured a thigh-high slit down the front and an elegant train that trailed from behind.
Union accessorized with a diamond choker necklace, a tennis bracelet, and sky-high silver platform heels. As for glam, she parted her brunette hair to the side and styled it in soft waves, before finishing things off with a glossy lip and dark smoky eye makeup.
For his part, Wade wore a navy blue blazer with a silver chain brooch over a black button-down shirt and matching dress pants and shoes.
The couple's latest outing comes nearly a month after they celebrated their 10-year wedding anniversary on Aug. 30. Union commemorated the milestone by serenading Wade with Shania Twain's "You're Still the One" with a sweet video posted to Instagram.
"Whenever anyone asks me what I want as a gift, I always say 'effort,'" Union captioned the clip, adding: "So this year I wanted to show him how much he means to me, with loving effort. Cuz, he’s STILL the one."
