Luum Textiles

Dorothy Cosonas has been appointed creative director of Luum Textiles, succeeding Suzanne Tick. Known for her timeless design approach and expertise in textiles, Cosonas will lead product development and expand Luum’s reach in workplace, hospitality, wellness, and education markets. Previously creative director of KnollTextiles, she brings decades of award-winning experience in color, pattern, and material innovation to shape Luum’s future visual identity and sustainability efforts.

Abigail Fundling, Caroline Zimmermann, and Christina Kerr have joined //3877, strengthening its architecture and design team. Abigail, a former Gensler designer, brings expertise in boutique hospitality and high-end residential projects. Caroline, among D.C.’s youngest licensed architects, specializes in hospitality and wellness projects. Kerr, with a portfolio of award-winning designs, will lead hospitality projects and workflow automation. Their diverse skills bolster //3877’s innovation and project capabilities.

Perkins & Will

Karen Krauskopf joins Perkins&Will’s Austin studio as principal and director of operations. With nearly 20 years of experience, she has led corporate campuses, cultural projects, and mixed-use developments. Formerly a Studio Director, she specializes in enhancing operational efficiency and cultivating innovative studio cultures. Krauskopf will focus on fostering growth, advancing the firm’s presence in Austin, and creating resilient, community-driven designs.

Haworth and MiEN

Haworth and MiEN have announced a partnership to expand their presence in K-12 and higher education markets. MiEN, known for innovative K-12 furniture, complements Haworth’s expertise in higher education solutions. Together, they aim to create dynamic learning environments for students, faculty, and staff. Sharing core values and West Michigan roots, the collaboration strengthens operational efficiency and enhances offerings for modern education spaces.

Gergana Tzolova joins Spectorgroup’s New York City office as senior designer. With a decade of experience in commercial and hospitality projects, she has worked on spaces for Empire State Realty, MLBPA, and Conrad Hotels. Tzolova excels in creating meaningful, experiential designs and will focus on innovative solutions for commercial, retail, and educational sectors. Her collaborative approach aligns with Spectorgroup’s mission to enrich environments through research-backed design.

Hord Coplan Macht

Brian Uher joins Hord Coplan Macht as director of sustainability. With 20 years of experience in energy efficiency and decarbonization, Uher brings expertise in financial modeling, system design, and energy management. Previously managing energy efficiency projects for Verizon, he will oversee sustainability strategies and advise on high-performance building design. Uher’s leadership will advance HCM’s commitment to creating innovative, sustainable, and equitable environments.

Pierre-Yves Rochon

David Buffery joins Pierre-Yves Rochon (PYR) as principal and senior design director in the Chicago studio. With over 27 years in luxury hospitality design, including projects like The Peninsula Hong Kong and Ritz-Carlton Macau, Buffery brings extensive global experience. Previously Vice President of Design Advisory at Galaxy Entertainment, he will lead PYR’s creative vision, blending heritage and innovation to elevate luxury interiors worldwide.

Jaipur Living

Jaipur Living appoints Marina Testino as its first-ever global sustainability ambassador. A sustainability advocate with experience at Vogue Mexico and United Nations campaigns, Testino will guide initiatives to reduce production waste and expand eco-friendly practices. Her leadership aims to connect consumers with conscious design and set new sustainability standards. This appointment reinforces Jaipur Living’s dedication to innovative, ethical craftsmanship in luxury rugs and home décor.

B+H

Michele Cohen joins B+H as healthcare principal in Toronto, bringing 30 years of expertise in healthcare architecture and planning. With a portfolio of over 7 million square feet of health science spaces, including The Ottawa Hospital’s New Campus and St. Michael’s Patient Care Tower, Cohen specializes in innovative, sustainable design and complex P3 projects. She will lead B+H’s healthcare practice across North America, driving growth and fostering excellence in healthcare solutions.

House of Rohl

House of Rohl announces leadership changes as Todd Teter, President of House of Rohl and WINN EMEAA, retires in Spring 2025 after nearly 25 years with Fortune Brands Innovations. Rachel Roberts, with a proven track record in brand and business development, has been promoted to President, Global House of Rohl. Roberts will leverage her expertise to drive the luxury brand’s next phase of growth and innovation.

J Frankl Architects

Justin Sherman has been promoted to partner at J Frankl Architects in Brooklyn, known for its multiunit housing expertise. With over 15 years of experience, his portfolio includes mixed-use developments, educational projects, and boutique hotels. Formerly with SOM and Ismael Levya Architect, Justin also teaches urban design and BIM at City Tech/CUNY. A City Tech and Boston Architectural College graduate, he brings deep expertise to his new leadership role.

Safdie Architects

Jeff Huggins has been promoted to senior partner at Safdie Architects, joining a six-member leadership team. With over 20 years at the firm, Huggins has led iconic projects such as Singapore’s Surbana Jurong Campus, Raffles City Chongqing, and Marina Bay Sands Hotel Towers. Known for his expertise in managing complex, large-scale designs, Huggins will continue advancing Safdie Architects’ legacy of innovation and humanistic design worldwide.

Nick Meter has been appointed president of Tangram Interiors, becoming the second President in the company’s history. With nearly 20 years at Tangram, Meter has excelled in sales, leadership, and strategic planning, driving operational efficiency and profitability. Formerly VP of Sales, he will focus on growth and innovation, optimizing Tangram’s business units and adapting to evolving industry needs. Jamie Stern Furniture, Carpet, Leather & Fabric has appointed William Oberlin as its first-ever creative director. With over 20 years of international experience in interior design and product development, Oberlin will oversee design across all divisions. Previously the founder of Dutch East Design, Oberlin brings expertise in crafting innovative, functional designs. Ayers Saint Gross

Joel Fidler has been named the next president of Ayers Saint Gross, effective January 1, 2025. With over 25 years of experience, Fidler has led transformative projects like the Duke University Center for Interprofessional Education and the Missouri Botanical Garden Visitor Center. A leader since 2011, Fidler will advance the firm’s legacy of integrating sustainability and fostering community through innovative design.
