Move over, naked dress.
The naked dress is a true icon in the worlds of pop culture and fashion alike. In the ’90s, the naked dress ruled thanks to style mavens like Kate Moss and Carrie Bradshaw—and two decades later, not much has changed, with everyone from Rita Ora to Rosie Huntington-Whiteley hopping aboard the trend. The latest celeb to go (practically) naked was Zoë Kravitz—although she put a little spin on the look.
Instead of slipping into a sheer naked dress, Kravitz instead opted for a semi-sheer top. While out in New York City promoting her directorial feature film debut, Blink Twice, the star rocked a beige tank top with an ultra low scooped neck, styled with a textured black midi skirt with a diagonal rippling plissé design and a pair of pointed black heels. The look is straight from The Row’s 2025 Resort collection. She swept her hair back in a slick ponytail and kept her jewelry minimal aside from a pair of delicate drop earrings and a couple of statement rings.
This is not the first time Kravtiz has made the case for The Row, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s minimalist-chic brand. Last April, she stepped out in The Row’s leather flip flops. It’s also not the first time Kravitz has embraced the braless look either. Earlier this month, she wore a slinky silk dress (sans bra) to the European premiere of her new film and back in April, she stepped out in New York City in a sheer dress that flashed a little underboob.
For Kravitz, experimenting with revealing and daring looks is just another method of self-expression. As she told The Cut in 2023, “People should really dress not based on a trend but rather on what they want to express. Sometimes I wake up and I feel more masculine, and I want to channel that and I think it’s sexy and fun.”
