"It's very freeing to be comfortable in your own skin.”
When Pamela Anderson went viral for going makeup-free last fall, she single-handedly disrupted beauty standards for women across the world. But makeup isn’t where her aesthetic influence ends. On the contrary, Anderson has been serving up sartorial inspiration since the 1990s, and her outfits never fail to turn heads. Whether channeling Old Hollywood elegance or peak Y2K fashion, the actress lives by one golden rule: live in the moment.
“I call it Life-ing, not aging,” she said. “Chasing youth is futile. All we can do is embrace who we are at the moment we are in, and be okay with where our feet stand right now. It’s very freeing to be comfortable in your own skin.”
With decades of outfits under her belt, Anderson's style archive runs deep. But don't worry: we've done the digging for you. Ahead, 15 of Pamela Anderson's most iconic looks of all time, from the '90s to present day.
Simple Elegance
Anderson joined fellow Hollywood veterans for the fourth annual Academy Museum Gala in an impossibly chic black gown from The Row. She styled the look with a makeup-free face and an easy bun.
Velvet Pants
The Last Showgirl actress was all smiles at Giorgio Armani Fashion Show in New York City, and her chic look seemed to officially hail the arrival of eveningwear season. Dressed in velvet pants, an ivory blouse, and a sequined jacket, Anderson nailed the black tie dress code.
Mint Green Gown
Anderson arrived at the 2024 Glamour Women of the Year Awards in a dazzling mint green column gown complete with a bejeweled neckline and floor-grazing cape. She was named Glamour’s “global woman of the year” in September.
Bubblegum Pink
Anderson donned another cape-dress combo during the San Sebastian Film Festival, transitioning effortlessly from a floral CH Carolina Herrera dress that she wore earlier in the day. Going (mostly) make-up free once again, she added a little punch to her beauty look with a bold red lip.
Diamond Debut
For her Met Gala debut, Anderson shook things up yet again, this time putting the makeup back on and wearing roughly 200 carats of lab-grown diamonds around her neck. The resulting look was, obviously, stunning, and her custom Oscar de la Renta gown served as the minimalist cherry on top.
Soft '70s Glam
Anderson gave a chic nod to ’70s glam in another Oscar de la Renta runway look, this time for the 2024 Vanity Fair Oscars Party. Soft waves completed the floral, floor-length gown, which shimmered in varying shades of gold and yellow.
Makeup-Free
It was the beauty moment heard ’round the world—or at the very least, ’round fashion week—when Anderson stepped onto the streets of Paris makeup-free.
“I didn’t think anyone was going to notice,” she told Allure. “I just thought, ‘I’m not competing with all these beautiful people.’ It wasn’t to make a political statement. I just wanted to have my little weird face sticking out of the top of those great clothes … why am I playing the game?”
Feathered Coat
For the Versace fall/winter 2023 runway show, Anderson donned a feathered black coat and matching mini skirt for the perfect minimalist-yet-maximalist statement. She paired the look with pointed toe sling-back heels and black sunnies.
Red Hot
Stepping out for the premiere of her Netflix docuseries, Pamela: A Love Story, Anderson slipped on a red, Baywatch-coded gown that was the picture of understated elegance.
"My life. A thousand imperfections," she wrote when the series was announced that March. "A million misperceptions. Wicked, wild and lost. Nothing to live up to. I can only surprise you—Not a victim, but a survivor & Alive to tell the real story."
Belted Sequins
Anderson's style underwent a major transformation in the 2010s. By 2017, she was fresh-faced and shimmering in a long black gown at the Fashion Awards in London.
No Pants
Anderson was a decade ahead of the pants-less trend when she showed up at the premiere of X Games 3D: The Movie wearing a white T-shirt and little else. She accessorized the daring look with a pair of aviator sunglasses and strappy heels.
Black and White
Anderson opted for a simple black-and-white ensemble for Golden Globe Awards in 2006. Her signature blonde locks were swept to the side in barrel curls, while a black clutch and black peep-toe pumps completed the look.
Power Suit
The actress swapped out her usual gown for a sexy take on a suit at the 25th Anniversary Gala for PETA and Humanitarian Awards in the early aughts.
A Vision in White
Anderson went full glam in a shimmering white gown for the Vanity Fair Oscars Party in 1999. The look was peak Y2K: full-body sequins, combined with a tousled hair-do and full-face makeup.
Anderson's off-the-shoulder navy gown struck an elegant note at the First Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Party in 1993. She paired the dress with minimal makeup and her signature blonde blowout.
