Green continues its reign as color of the year.
Victoria Beckham just tapped into a trend that has been going strong this year—the color green. In 2024, we’ve seen plenty of greens enjoy their moment in the spotlight. There were the tennis ball greens for spring—and, of course, for Zendaya’s Challengers. And, of course, brat summer was a sea of bright lime greens. There have also been some emerald greens, coinciding with the buzz surrounding the upcoming adaptation of Wicked.
But what is the ideal hue for fall? Well, Beckham just made the case for a zesty, grassy green. While stepping out on Mew York City, the singer and fashion designer wore a slinky, silky midi dress with gathered slouching shoulders, a flowy skirt, and a subtly plunging neckline. The shade? A bright olive green that was just a touch softer and more grown up than the brat green that dominated the summer months.
Beckham paired the dress with an unexpected pair of poppy orange-red heels and oversized black sunglasses. She wore her hair, still styled in the iconic Posh Spice bob, down and wavy.
Beckham wore the look while attending the Forces in Fashion event, where she spoke alongside Anna Wintour. Beckham recalled her first moves in the fashion industry during the talk, recounting one occasion when she was bold enough to redesign a dress by Donatella Versace. “I put the clothes on and said I liked it, but ‘how about we change the length?’” she said. “I completely redesigned the outfit, I can’t believe I had the audacity to do that. I liked the outfit and it was coming from such a sweet, innocent place but when I look back I think, how could I have ever said that to Donatella?”
