A bare-faced beauty.
Pamela Anderson is the queen of embracing her natural beauty, and the icon went makeup-free again at a photocall during the 2024 San Sebastian Film Festival in Spain. On Friday, the actress promoted her upcoming film The Last Showgirl in a colorful, long-sleeved maxidress with a vibrant abstract floral print, a pussy bow neckline, and a flowy, pleated skirt. She styled the cottagecore piece with tan pointed-toe, sling-back heels and simple diamond studs.
Perhaps the most notable part of her look was her glam. The model ditched makeup for a fresh-faced glam that included a dewy complexion and glossy lips. Her famous blonde hair was swept off her face and styled in a deep side part with Old Hollywood waves.
Later in the day, Anderson changed into a bubblegum-pink gown with a plunging neckline, bedazzled embellishment on the bodice, and long, cape-like sleeves for the film's premiere. She added a touch of makeup for the occasion, including a red lip color and bronze contour.
Earlier this year, Anderson opened up about her decision to start going makeup-free on the red carpet, saying it allowed her to let go of the hangups she had surrounding beauty.
“[Going bare-faced ] was the beginning of me letting go of the image I had always had of myself,” she said in an interview with Better Homes & Gardens. “What is this cartoon character that I’d created? Okay, that was fun. But I’m not that person anymore.”
"I started thinking that I want to challenge the idea of beauty and this mask we put on," she continued. "As soon as I took the mask off, the whole world opened up. It just happened to be this silly thing of being at Paris Fashion Week and me saying, 'I’m not going to sit in a makeup chair for three hours. I’m going to the Louvre.' It was such a refreshing way to see everything, and I didn’t think anyone would even notice."
