Same but different.
Just days after walking the red carpet in a floor-length, vintage nightgown-coded white dress, Lily Rose Depp dramatically shortened her hemline for several TV appearances on December 17. Just hours after making a jeans-clad appearance at ABC Television Studios, The Idol actress leaned into the ultimate lazy cool girl hack while walking into Good Morning America. The actress, who is busy making her rounds on the press circuit for her Dracula adaptation film Nosferatu, ditched her pants for a completely different look.
Depp, whose parents are Johnny Depp and French singer Vanessa Paradis, is already a veteran at bringing her effortless French je ne sais quoi into her street style and red carpet looks. And on Monday, she was back at it as she headed to the appearance in a uniform consisting of light wash straight leg jeans with distressed holes in both knees, a black-and-white striped turtleneck shirt, and a statement outerwear piece: A grungy brown patchwork leather jacket with an oversized fit and a midnight blue velvet collar.
Wearing her blonde hair in a twisted half-up style—perhaps a nod to the now-viral braided design she recently sported on the red carpet—Depp accessorized with shiny black loafers paired with dad-coded white athletic socks, and a dark brown quilted Chanel leather handbag with the designer brand’s logo clearly displayed in front.
Shortly after, The King actress made her way to a second TV interview wearing what, at first glance, appeared to be a completely different outfit. While she still wore the same hairstyle, signature smoky French girl eyeliner, and the nude lip that she had on earlier, Depp left her pants behind as she paired the same brown leather jacket with bare legs.
This time, a burgundy red skirt could be seen peeping through the jacket’s short hemline. Holding the same Chanel bag from earlier, the star smiled and signed autographs at the Good Morning America studios. To fully transition her outfit from day to night, Depp swapped out her black loafers for a pair of round-toed black leather slingback heels.
