Holiday party dressing got a see-through revamp.
Katy Perry might be the queen of campy fashion, but the “Firework” singer also knows how to nail a red carpet siren moment. While headlining the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball on Monday night, she bared some major skin in a sheer sequin gown that exposed her entire toned midriff. In true Katy form, she put a cool girl spin on her red-hot holiday attire by wearing the season’s hottest hue.
Perry was a burgundy belle in an oxblood-hued Alex Perry gown at her December 16 performance, turning heads in the barely-there dress. The sparkly number almost looked like sparkly co-ords, thanks to a strapless sequin bandeau and a low-rise skirt that dipped down in front with a wrap waist design and a dramatic thigh-high slit. The strategically-placed pieces of fabric were connected with completely sheer mesh panels in the same dark red color way. The mesh fabric also covered her shoulders and collarbones with a sleeveless crewneck design.
The “Dark Horse” singer–who joined musicians like Meghan Trainor, Tate McRae, Madison Beer, and Gracie Abrams at the annual holiday concert–further showed off her legs with a pair of pointy-toed black satin heels while shiny large silver hoop earrings brought an extra dose of incandescence to her red carpet appearance. The star went monochromatic with her beauty look, matching her burgundy lipstick to her glittering dress, and leaned into one of the year’s biggest makeup trends with subtle frosty eyeshadow.
Perry’s signature jet black hair was styled in voluminous waves, lending an effortless glam feel to her holiday look.
Just a week earlier, the “E.T.” singer leaned into camp holiday separates as she performed her biggest hits at Capital FM’s Jingle Bell Ball on December 8. Wearing her dark hair in space buns with face-framing pieces, Perry swapped out her gown for a patent leather Santa red bandeau bra and matching mini skirt adorned with silver hardware in front. A white fuzzy cropped jacket and matching boots ensured Perry looked ready for a holiday party at the North Pole.
