Big hair and all.
Kaia Gerber is already the spitting image of her mom Cindy Crawford—but in case you weren’t completely convinced, the young model is cementing their mother-daughter twinning status further with her latest red carpet appearance.
On Thursday, Gerber paid homage to Crawford at the premiere of her new film Shell at the Toronto International Film by recreating one her mom's most iconic looks. For the occasion, the actress wore a white Hervé Leger body-con dress that looked exactly like Crawford's custom 1993 Oscars gown, which featured a sweetheart neckline, underwire cups, and an ankle-skimming hemline.
Like her mom, Gerber accessorized with a pair of white pointy-toe kitten heels and styled her glossy brunette hair in loose curls with loads of volume. Meanwhile, the rest of her glam included a pink lip, rosy cheeks, defined lashes, and fluffy brows.
The only difference, really, was that Crawford was joined on the red carpet by her then-husband Richard Gere, who paired a black tux with his shaggy salt-and-pepper hair.
“Kaia had sent me a mood board for TIFF and this was one of her references,” Molly Dickson, Gerber’s stylist, told Vogue about the model’s dress. “I thought it would be amazing to pay tribute to Cindy’s iconic moment.” The outlet also reported that Gerber dug into her mother’s jewelry archive and chose a vintage diamond chocker necklace and chain-link earrings, as well as a vintage Omega watch from Crawford’s personal collection.
