Method dressing at its boldest.
Julia Fox has a new film coming out—and naturally, she pulled out all the sartorial stops for the premiere. The reigning queen of bold, unconventional fashion, Fox put her own stamp on the method dressing trend while attending the Rome Film Festival premiere of her film The Trainer last night.
Fox stepped out on the red carpet wearing a cobalt blue Adidas bomber jacket. She put her signature creative stamp on the athleisure staple, wearing it unzipped from the neck down, revealing her bare chest below.
The jacket was part of Willy Chavarria's spring summer 2025 menswear 'América' collection for Adidas. Fox recreated the original runway look, pairing the jacket a white flowing maxi skirt with a dramatic thigh-high leg slit. Fox wore a white skull cap that revealed a few strands of her blond bob and carried a black and white rectangular clutch by Dsquared in her right hand, on which she wore a matching fingerless black and white boxing glove. She wore a blue smokey eye to match her jacket and sported black and white nail art.
Fox's latest look nods to the sporty themes of her upcoming film. The Trainer, directed by Tony Kaye, is a dark comedy about a "fitness expert living with his mother in Los Angeles, who takes a maniacal swing at fame and fortune pursuing his version of the American dream." Fox stars alongside an all-star cast that includes Bella Thorne, Vito Schnabel, Lenny Kravitz, Paris Hilton, Gus van Sant, and John McEnroe.
Speaking to The Face in 2022, Fox revealed, that making the film had been “a hell of a ride.” She added, “I think it’s gonna be a very polarising movie. I’m the love interest. The second lead.”
