What exactly is this thingamabob hanging from it?
It appears Dua Lipa is feeling some future nostalgia, and this time through her clothes. The pop superstar posted pictures to Instagram—photo dump style, of course—from her recent trip to New York City, and she used her Big Apple escapade as an opportunity to test drive a sexy top with an unexpected techy detail.
In the snaps, the "Training Season" hitmaker posed in front of the Hudson river in a thin, loose-fitting black shirt that featured long sleeves, ruching details, a cropped construction, a wide, open scoop neckline that plunged all the way down to her navel, and an ovular pearly-white lock with a black center. The futuristic accent dangled from a singular piece of string holding the whole shirt together, baring her midsection and side boob. The Barbie star kept the sci-fi theme going with a pair of low-waisted black trousers covered in metallic-silver flowers, a chunky silver chain choker necklace, layers of small hoop and stud earrings, a smattering of silver rings, and narrow, rectangle shades, which she kept on even when the sun went down, like the cool girl she is.
For beauty, Lipa glammed up with a dramatic inky-black cat eye and a matte mauve lip, and styled her iconic red locks in a slicked-back messy bun.
In other pictures, she traded her space odyssey aesthetic for something more sporty-chic. She, along with fellow artist Mustafa the Poet, attended Travis Scott's concert at Metlife Stadium, where she donned a red-and-black windbreaker jacket, a black leather maxi skirt, a cherry-red bucket hat, matching slingback heels, and a Zebra-printed purse.
Lipa's carousel included one more style display. This time, she went full streetwear in an oversized white T-shirt emblazoned with several Mickey Mouse images, low-waisted black jeans, and a black quilted Chanel bag.
"NYC escapades," she simply captioned the post.
The 3-time Grammy winner's city adventure comes days after a trip to Texas, where she headlined the Austin City Limits Music Festival. She will return to the Southern stage on Saturday for another set.
