Kate Middleton is finishing off her busiest week of the year with some holiday cheer. On Friday, the Princess of Wales arrived at her annual “Together at Christmas” carol concert at Westminster Abbey, along with 1,600-plus other guests.
Middleton arrived for the holiday festivities in a bright red, full-length peacoat by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen that was adorned with a black velvet holiday bow that looked as if it belonged on a Christmas present. The coquette detail, a Gen-Z staple, also tied Middleton's matching suede pointed-toe booties. As she walked, a hint of a plaid peeked through her coat's leg slit, giving royal fans a glimpse at her outfit underneath.
For beauty, the Princess of Wales wore her brunette hair in loose, face-framing waves and kept her skin radiant with a glowing foundation and a subtle pink lipstick. She accessories with dainty pearl drop earrings, a silver cuff bracelet worn on her hand, and a ring on her left hand.
Princess Kate was booked and busy earlier this week, as well. On Tuesday, Middleton attended the ceremonial welcome for the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and his wife, Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al Thani. For the appearance, Middleton upcycled a burgundy coat dress and fascinator that she originally wore to a life celebration of Queen Elizabeth II’s life in September 2023. She also paid tribute to the late monarch by wearing several pieces of jewelry that previously belonged to Elizabeth.
Middleton also attended Tuesday’s Horse Guard Parade, luncheon, and presentation of the Royal Collection at the King’s Gallery, where she slipped out of her knee-high boots and into a pair of pointed-toe pumps.
Middleton took a step back from royal engagements this year while she battled cancer, though, she has since ramped up her appearances since finish chemotherapy. She accompanied her husband, Prince William, to Southport, where they met with emergency responders who helped victims during a mass stabbing at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class. She was also present at Remembrance Day festivities last month.
Ahead of this year's Christmas concert, Middleton sent out a letter to attendees, which include the survivors of the fatal stabbing. "The Christmas story encourages us to consider the experiences and feelings of others," she wrote. "It also reflects our own vulnerabilities and reminds us of the importance of giving and receiving empathy, as well as just how much we need each other in spite of our differences."
"Above all else, it encourages us to turn to love, not fear. The love that we show ourselves and the love we show others. Love that listens with empathy, love that is kind and understanding, love that is forgiving, and love that brings joy and hope. It is this love which is the greatest gift we can receive," the princess continued. "Not just at Christmas, but every day of our lives. Love is the light that can shine bright, even in our darkest times."
