My shoulders are comfortably pushed back.
Between tech neck and the dragging weight of my heaving 38DD bosom (IYKYK), I have bad posture and frequent back pain. In an ideal world, I would go for regular acupuncture treatments and massages, but I am lazy and would rather spend my money on superfluous things. A posture-correcting bra is thus the perfect product for me—something I only have to spend money on once and that simply requires me to wear it. This isn’t my Shark Tank pitch but a product that already exists—Forme’s Power Bra.
As someone with my aforementioned problems and predilections, the algorithm has made me aware of the Forme posture-correcting bra for some time now. I bit the bullet after I noticed Taylor Swift wearing it in one of the rehearsal photos included in her Time profile. I have been wearing it for three months now and I have noticed a difference in both my natural posture and my back pain.

The Power Bra comes in six shades and sizes XS–3XL. (I wear a 2XL.) It’s admittedly expensive but it’s an investment and that paid off after a month. I’ve been wearing my Forme bra whenever I’m at home for the last three months. At first, I wasn’t sure of the effects and was concerned that if there were any, they would be placebo. While it did seem like my shoulders were back and lower and that I was sitting higher in my chair, my “aha!” moment came when I realized I hadn’t slept on the floor in a couple of weeks (a potentially old wive’s tale remedy for back pain). The improvement in my back is not a placebo and therefore I don’t think my posture change is, either. The other bit of convincing evidence is Taylor Swift’s improved posture—I’m not a Swiftie, but I’ve still noticed the difference.
The Forme Power Bra is expensive but the convenience—seamless incorporation in my daily routine—plus the posture-improving and pain-alleviating benefits have made it worthwhile for me. Head to Forme to shop its Power Bra and scroll through more of the brand’s similar products below.
