Luckily for fans, she was in attendance at the 2024 Gotham Awards in New York City last night, marking her first red carpet appearance since announcing her split from fiancé Channing Tatum, and she made sure to go all out.
The Big Little Lies star took a different approach to revenge dressing on the red carpet at Cipriani Wall Street for the prestigious ceremony celebrating the best in film and television. She swapped out her tried-and-true little black dress for an ethereal lilac number made custom by Saint Laurent, for whom she has served as a longtime ambassador and muse. The dusty-pink centerpiece featured a strapless, straight-across neckline, ruching details across the bust and torso, a floor-grazing skirt, and waist cutouts that transformed into a completely open back. The dress also had a reverse-halter strap that laid across her neck—a scarf-like, Old Hollywood detail that has been dominating runways and red carpets recently.
The Blink Twice director went the monochrome route when it came to footwear, opting for matching open- and square-toe sandals. Kravitz kept her jewelry classic, completing her look with a single gold ring and diamond drop earrings. As for beauty, she styled her long braids in a middle part tucked behind her ears to show off her glam, which included bronzy cheeks, strong brows, and a sharp cat-eye wing.
While Kravitz was dressed like a winner, she attended as a presenter. She ascended the stage to present the Ensemble Tribute to The Piano Lesson.
The actress's big night comes a little over a month after she and Tatum called off their engagement. Sources confirmed to People on October 29, 2024, that the pair broke up after three years of dating.
The two had reportedly “grown apart” and were not on “the same page.” Sources also pointed to their busy and demanding schedules as playing a large part in their split.
