I want to wear his initial on a chain 'round my neck.
Taylor Swift is the queen of the Easter egg. Whether it’s a clever detail in a music video, a sneaky lyric, or a thoughtful outfit, she loves nothing more than to leave a little trail of clues for her fans—and her latest look is no exception.
The singer arrived at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans to support her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, as his team took on the Eagles alongside her friends Ice Spice, Danielle Haim, and Este Haim. For the occasion, she wore a white blazer, bedazzled jean shorts, and white boots. At first glance, the look may have seemed relatively simple—but look a little closer, and you’ll see it’s absolutely filled with subtle sartorial clues.
Fans were quick to notice that the singer was wearing a gold necklace with a “T” pendant—yes, T, as in Travis. On closer inspection, the necklace appeared to be the exact same garter chain she wore around her upper thigh at the Grammys.
When she wore the chain around her thigh, many fans assumed it was a nod to her lyric, "What if he's written 'mine' on my upper thigh only in my mind?" from her song "Guilty as Sin". Now that she's wearing the chain around her neck, it could be a nod to a different lyric. In "Call It What You Want," she sings, "I want to wear his initial/On a chain 'round my neck, chain round my neck/Not because he owns me/But 'cause he really knows me."
But the necklace wasn't the only Easter egg in her look.
She also wore a blazer that gave a lot of fans flashbacks to her song “The Man”. She famously donned a sparkly blazer while singing the song during the Eras Tour. As one fan wrote on X, “SHE’S THE MAN”.
Swift also wore bedazzled shorts, which could be a nod to her song "Bejeweled". Because, yes, Swift is "going out tonight".
And finally, there’s the color. Swift’s look contained a whole lot of white: a white blazer, white over-the-knee boots, and a white tank top. It’s all rather bridal, no? With rumors swirling that Kelce may propose to Swift after tonight’s game, fans are sure to note Swift’s rather interesting choice to wear white rather than Chiefs red and yellow. After all, Swift almost always dons the Chief colors while attending Kelce’s games. Does it mean something? Time will tell.
