She caught up with the newly single star at Chez Margaux.
Taylor Swift’s original squad is back, according to her latest outing. Amidst the news that Zoë Kravitz and Channing Tatum called off their engagement and broke up, Swift caught up with the Batman star for an hours-long dinner in New York City’s Meatpacking District–and the besties came dressed to impress. On Friday night, the “Cruel Summer” singer offset Kravitz’s neutrals by wearing a corset dress featuring a medley of bright colors.
As the longtime friends grabbed dinner at Chez Margaux, Swift leaned into her love of corset dressing with a cinched Vivienne Westwood dress featuring an off-the-shoulder neckline and a ruched bodice that looked like a painting with splashes of bright blue, yellow, and red colors. The knee-length blue skirt featured subtle pleating in the slightly reflective material.
The “Down Bad” singer–who made Grammys history on Nov. 8 by becoming one of the most-nominated female artists with her Tortured Poets Department album– kept the bright colorscape going with her accessories, including a pair of burgundy-hued velvet Aquazurra Twist 95 sandals with knot details on the toe and foot. A black Vivienne Westwood leather clutch, a statement gold pendant necklace, and a gold chain watch completed her look.
The singer appeared to take beauty notes from a Boticelli painting for the long catch up, wearing her natural blonde curls in a low updo with curly tendrils framing her face. A warm orange lip, monochromatic sunset-hued eyeshadow, and black liquid eyeliner put a twist on Swift’s signature makeup.
Meanwhile, Kravitz chose a completely different aesthetic for her dinner with Swift and comedian Jerrod Carmichael. The Blink Twice star paired her go-to sleek ballerina bun with a nude silk slip dress edged with delicate lace, black sheer tights, and slingback pointy-toed black kitten heels. Kravitz paired her dinner dress with an oversized black coat that reached to her mid-thigh, as well as a mahogany leather side bag. Diamond rings brought some sparkle to the neutral look, which Kravitz complemented with dark lashes and a glossy cherry lip.
According to Page Six, the trio spent eight hours at the members’ only club. While Kravitz and Swift haven’t been photographed together in public in a while, the actress previously opened up about getting close with the “Lover” singer during the pandemic.
“She was my pod,” Kravitz told GQ in a 2022 interview. “She was a very important part of being in London, just having a friend that I could see and that would make me home-cooked meals and dinner on my birthday.”
The feeling was mutual for Swift, who sent the publication an email saying, "Zoë's sense of self is what makes her such an exciting artist, and such an incredible friend. She has this very honest inner compass, and the result is art and life without compromising who she is."
