Brb, redoing my winter uniform.
The big, black puffer jacket might be the unofficial winter uniform of New Yorkers, but Selena Gomez is crowning a different jacket the ultimate cold weather staple this year. She stepped out in Los Angeles on Saturday night in an ensemble that made her outerwear the main event.
The Rare Beauty founder graced the magenta carpet at the Emilia Pérez Latinas In Hollywood Tastemaker Event in a winterized take on Matrix dressing. Gomez wore the biggest double-breasted, black leather trench coat that featured a huge furry collar and a built-in belt that she cinched tightly at the waist. When your coat is this luscious and dramatic, it makes the entire outfit. She paired the centerpiece with nothing but pointed-toe black leather boots and drop earrings.
As for beauty, the "Calm Down" hitmaker glammed up with rosy makeup, complete with a dusty-purple smoky eye, pink blush, a strawberry-pink lip, and a glossy burgundy manicure. She styled her shiny, dark brunette lob down with a middle part.
The Wizards of Waverly Place alum has been rocking many all-black looks for the musical-thriller's press tour. Yet, each time she goes monochromatic, she manages to make it look so new. On Sunday, she made a stunning appearance at the 15th Governors Awards at Ovation Hollywood, where she embraced a different cult classic film, this time, the Addams Family.
Gomez channeled Wednesday Addams and put a twist on menswear dressing in a floor-length, figure-hugging beaded gown. The Ralph Lauren piece emulated a tuxedo with a preppy white collar and matching cuffs. She paired the dress with diamond drop statement earrings that looked like feathers and a smattering of diamond rings. For a final touch, she glammed up with a smoky eye and winged eyeliner and styled her locks in a wet-hair look, sweeping her tresses into a sleek, side-parted bun.
