If you know, you know.
For decades now, Sarah Jessica Parker has been a fixture at the New York City Ballet—and almost every time her outfit includes a nod to her Sex and the City character Carrie Bradshaw’s over-the-top fashion. Take, for instance, last year’s gala when she wore a pair of open-toed heels in two different colors (one black, one blush) that paid homage to Carrie’s iconic mismatched Christian Louboutin sandals.
And while this year's sartorial tribute to Carrie wasn't as obvious, true SATC fans would definitely recognize it. On Thursday, Parker attended the ballet's 2024 fall fashion gala while wearing an off-the-shoulder silver Oscar de la Renta midi dress constructed from layers upon layers of tulle with a floral pattern. She accessorized with matching strappy silver sandals, a crystal-embellished clutch, and glittering diamond jewelry.
As for glam, Parker slicked her blonde hair back into a sleek ponytail that fell over one shoulder, which highlighted her shimmery metallic eyeshadow and glossy pink lips.
You might remember that Carrie was gifted a hot pink Oscar de la Renta gown to wear to the ballet by her Russian boyfriend, Aleksandr Petrovsky, in season six of SATC. But following a fainting episode from too much romance, the two ended up capping off the night at McDonalds.
Speaking of SATC, filming is currently underway for the third season of the HBO show's spin-off And Just Like That…, and adorably Parker caught up with her co-stars Nicole Ari Parker and Sarita Choudhury on the red carpet.
