Royal in the front, party in the back.
Lady Amelia Spencer seems to have inherited her aunt Princess Diana’s chic sense of style, but she also appears to be taking some fashion cues from the other side of the family. Spencer wore a silk blouse and trousers set for a recent event, and she channeled her late aunt’s daughter-in-law, Kate Middleton, when it came to styling the co-ords.
While attending a launch event for Bird in Hand wine alongside her twin sister Lady Eliza Spencer, Amelia wore a matching navy blue Borgo de Nor set with an ornate white print. The elegant, high-neck top had puffy shoulders and billowing sleeves and was tucked into the waistband of the pants. The most notable part of the look, however, was the fashion trick she stole from Middleton’s playbook. On the retailer’s website, the shirt is styled with the pussy-bow in the front. However, Amelia opted to wear it backward, tied in the back.
Middleton, a sustainable queen, often re-wears pieces from her closet by creatively styling them to appear different. During this year’s Trooping the Colour, Middleton upcycled a Jenny Packham dress by adding a belt and bow to spice up the frock she already owned. Similarly, Back in 2019, Middleton took a different approach to styling a Gucci blouse by wearing it backward with the buttons in the front, as opposed to the back, which is how the designer top was meant to be worn.
Lady Amelia styled her set with a blush-colored Longchamp bag, diamond Chanel earrings, and black pointed-toe pumps. She styled her blonde hair in a slicked-back ponytail. Her twin, Eliza, opted for a black dress from Lavish Alice with a mock-corseted midsection created using pearls and rhinestones and pearl-encrusted fringe sleeves.
"An evening celebrating the launch of Nest Egg JOY @birdinhandwine with these beautiful women 🤍#NestEggJoy2020 #ad 🤍," she captioned the post.
The stylish twin sisters have become frequent guests of fashion shows and events. Just earlier this month, the Spencer sisters attended the Paige 20th anniversary celebration on November 7 in matching black-and-white outfits. Lady Amelia opted for a white blouse with lace sleeves and a pussy-bow that she left untied, styled with black jeans. Eliza wore a crisp white button-up layered under a black cardigan styled with leather pants.
