Déjà vu.
Lady Amelia Spencer and Lady Eliza Spencer just took a sartorial page out of their aunt’s book during the 2024 Fashion Awards. On Monday, the royal twins channeled Princess Diana by recreating one of her most iconic looks ever: her famed revenge dress. The twin sisters arrived on the red carpet in matching, off-the-shoulder black dresses that were reminiscent of Lady Di’s famous little black dress.
For her part, Lady Amelia looked elegant in a plunging gown with a bedazzled neckline and thin straps that sat slightly off her shoulders. Much like her late aunt, she also paired her gown with a choker made of diamonds. She accessorized with a matching bracelet and earrings and a smattering of rings. Her blonde hair was slicked into a tight bun to complement her bronzy glam.
Lady Eliza literally twinned with her sibling in a black frock with a circular neckline and large draped sleeves that wrapped around her arms. She accessorized the fitted A-line frock with silver jewelry that also included a statement choker that matched her earrings, cuff bracelet, and ring. Her hair was also styled in a slicked-back bun.
Princess Diana debuted her revenge dress back in 1994, wearing a black off-the-shoulder Christina Stambolian gown with a ruched skirt and a long scarf detail that hung from the midsection, accessorized with a pearl necklace, sheer black stockings, and coordinating pointed-toe pumps. She wore the now-famous ensemble following her separation from then-Prince Charles on the exact night he confessed to his infidelity during an infamous interview.
This isn’t the first time the Spencer sisters have taken style cues from their royal relatives. In fact, just last week, Lady Amelia borrowed one of Kate Middleton’s fashion hacks. Spencer wore her blouse backward so that the pussy-bow detail was tied in the back. Middleton has been known to do a style switch-up in order to wear a piece (see: her backward Gucci top).
On November 27, the sisters wore another set of LBDs during a flagship store launch event for fragrance company Aromaria.
Eliza's bedazzled minidress had puff sleeves, a chest cutout, and coquette detailing, while Amelia opted for a see-through, bra-baring lace dress with a massive bow detail along the skirt.
