You know the one.
Pamela Anderson’s fluffy pink hat paired with a white corset and sequined pants at the 1999 MTV Video Music Awards will remain as one of the most iconic looks in red carpet history. But fast-forward more than 25 years later, and Anderson has completely switched up her style—firmly in her minimalist era, opting for simple yet striking outfits.
However, let's be honest, some old fashion habits die hard.
Case in point? On Saturday, the actress-slash-activist attended a Q&A session at the 20th annual Zurich Film Festival wearing a fuzzy white pantsuit that reminded us of her memorable VMAs hat. Sporting a mock neck top covered in faux feathers that was sleeveless on one side and featured a dramatic draped cape on the other, Anderson teamed her shirt with a pair of matching high-waisted trousers.
She finished off her monochromatic ensemble with chocolate-brown Louboutin heels and no makeup, and pulled her blonde hair back into a low-slung bun.
The night before, Anderson made another bare-faced appearance at the premiere of her new film The Last Showgirl—this time, wearing a satin pink midi dress from Oscar de la Renta with a coordinating shawl and pointed-toe pumps in the same shade.
Earlier this week, the Baywatch star opened up about going makeup-free in her 50s. “I’ve nothing against makeup, but I felt like it just looked better on me in my 20s than it did now,” Anderson said during an interview for Glamour‘s Women of the Year issue.
“You’re going to hit a crossroads in your 50s, and you go, 'Am I going to chase youth? Am I going to be miserable? Or am I going to be self-accepting?'" she added. "And it’s a practice. And it’s hard to say that you’re attempting all this if you’re still doing the red carpets and the covers of magazines plastered in makeup.”
