Her and Prince Harry's Colombia trip is off to a stylish start.
Meghan Markle is an expert in dressing for any season: Remember when she went full aprés-ski while braving sub-zero temps for an Invictus Games event in Canada? Now, the duchess is took one of her go-to style staples and made it summer-ready during her and Prince Harry’s trip to Colombia.
The former working royals touched down in the South American country, where they were greeted by Vice President Francia Márquez. And the trip is already off to a strong—and fashionable—start.
Markle opted for a Veronica Beard power suit with a temperature-friendly detail: a halter "blazer." The high-neck vest featured brass buttons and a mini collar and was styled with matching tailored trousers and a pair of black pointed-toe pumps. She accessorized the look with a white Loro Piana bag, simple stud earrings, and a diamond bracelet. Her brown hair was pulled into a slicked-back bun, and she opted for a minimal makeup look that included fringed lashes, bronzy contour, and a peach lip.
The former actress was photographed embracing Márquez, who looked elegant in an all-white pleated skirt, ruffled collar, and blazer outfit. In a separate image obtained by Harper’s Bazaar, Meghan can be seen walking hand-in-hand with her husband Harry, who wore a black tailored suit with a blue button-up shirt and no tie.
The couple’s voyage to Colombia marks their second international trip in three months as the two traveled to Nigeria in May. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have a stacked itinerary for their visit that includes a tour of the children’s school the Colegio Cultura Popular, several performances at the Plaza del Carnaval y la Cultura in San Juan de Pasto, and a summit about internet safety, per Bazaar.
