I’m obsessed with that stiletto.
I’m not typically a fan of red. Allow me to rephrase: I’m not typically a fan of red on me. I appreciate the color and know a good crimson ‘fit when I see one, some of which are so good, they even convince me to re-try the hue one more time. Such was the case with a recent Zoe Saldaña look that I simply can’t forget about.
The actress is known for stellar fashion, no matter where she goes or what she wears. She can make jeans-and-flats look so chic, but throw her some lady-in-red inspiration, and she’ll take the challenge and give you even more. Saldaña was spotted (easily, I must say!), while walking around the Big Apple ahead of her Emilia Pérez premiere appearance at the 62nd New York Film Festival.
She made a statement in a sequin-embellished midi dress that had a belly button-grazing plunging neckline, wrap-like front, and thigh-high side slits that are actually genius. Why, you ask? Because they allow for ample mobility and movement, not to mention a bit of extra ventilation when you need it.

Saldaña rounded out the look with an equally eye-catching pair or heels: these Ferragamo Eva Pumps (clearly named after me, so yes, I need them!) that had the coolest heel I’ve seen in a minute. Its architectural stiletto and knife-sharp pointed toe mean serious business. And while Saldaña’s might be a bit pricey (though worth it!) I found a pair from Jeffrey Campbell that’s nearly identical.
Saldaña’s look was certainly made for a red-carpet event, but it’s also easy to incorporate into your day-to-day with a more toned-down red midi dress and sexy black heels that are made for walking. Below, check out some options I’m eyeing to make mine thanks to the actress’s ensemble.
