She called it her spin on Old Hollywood.
You know nature is truly healing when you see Lindsay Lohan at New York Fashion Week. The actress has been making appearances at the runway shows for years now and since we’re all waiting impatiently for the release of Freakier Friday and anything and everything related to Lohan renaissance, her ankle-skimming lace gown was exactly what fans needed. Lohan attended the Kering Foundation’s annual Caring for Women dinner last night in the Big Apple wearing a demure black dress that featured a picture-perfect off-the-shoulder neckline, curve-hugging silhouette, and long bell sleeves.
Lohan wore her signature strawberry-blonde hair parted in the middle, with the length nearly reaching her waist. She added a short French manicure, rosy lip color, soft peachy smoky eye, and long lashes to finish off the look. She also wore pointy-toed pumps, which peeked out from the tea-length hem and skipped out on a necklace, choosing dangling diamond earrings instead.
Speaking about her look, Lohan called her look "Old Hollywood"—and it's tough to argue with that very accurate description.
“My stunning dress was off-the-shoulder, black sheer lace with hand-sewn crystals,” she told Vogue. “It’s very Old Hollywood.”
She went on to say that when she approaches red carpet dressing, she makes sure that she's the center of attention at all times, not the outfit. Here's hoping that she has some amazing looks planned for her Freakier Friday press rounds.
“I like clothes that are effortless and chic, but comfort is key,” she continued. “My red carpet moments need to be authentic to me. I am happy to go outside my comfort zone, as long as I know I’m wearing the outfit and it’s not wearing me.”
Speaking of the film, Lohan promised fans that they'll have plenty to love with the sequel, which includes her co-star Jamie Lee Curtis.
Freakier Friday will be filled with lots of laughs and heart,” Lohan said. “It’s exciting to have the cast back together. This film will be great for any age. I can’t wait.”
