And fans think she's teasing a new project.
Jessica Simpson, one of the undisputed queens of the 2000s, is paying tribute to the indie sleaze era from the early aughts. The singer and entrepreneur shared a series of photos to Instagram showing off a couple of punk-goth looks, one of which included a corset and totally see-through pants.
In one carousel, Simpson modeled a rose-pink corseted bustier with a peplum bottom and black lace trim along the neckline to match her sheer, flared pants and scarf draped over her shoulders. She accessorized with two cross-pendant chokers, matching drop earrings, and a smattering of chunky rings.
In the roundup of images, Simpson models the look in front of a mirror, gives a close-up look at her necklaces in a black-and-white shot, and shows off the corset's lace-up detail.
"A weekend of much needed self love hugs and pure magnetism Part 1," she captioned the post.
In a separate post, the various images are collaged together in a video montage captioned with a quote from Archbishop Harold Holmes, a.k.a. guitarist Jack White.
“Hate is trying to take someone else’s love for yourself, but I’m here to tell you that love is trying to help someone else” Archbishop Harold Holmes @officialjackwhite," she wrote.
Another Instagram gallery showed off another equally as edgy look consisting of a red lace maxidress, also accessorized by the gothic chokers, and a messy half-up hairdo. The first slide was a collage similar to the one in the video, while another was a shot of Simpson’s face with a lemon slice in her mouth.
"Weekend Magnetism Part II," she wrote.
While it's unclear what the meaning was behind the posts, fans were quick to speculate that an album could be in the works. "Jessica Simpson new album WEEKEND MAGNETISM coming 2025???? 😍😍," one commented, while another user wrote, "I would not be mad in the least, at a teeny tiny small mini new song on the album tease!!! Just a LITTLE somethin!!!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻."
"Looks like us the Jessibirds are getting a new album reveal very soon and the title of the album looks like it’s called 'Weekend Magnetism' 🎼🎶🎵🎶🎵🐦🐤🐦🐤🐦🐤," another fan guessed.
