She shut down the 1001 Seasons of Elie Saab bash.
Designer Elie Saab’s spectacular runway presentation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, dubbed 1001 Seasons of Elie Saab, pulled out all the stops—Celine Dion performed and Halle Berry re-wore one of the most iconic Oscars looks, ever. But before any of that happened, Jennifer Lopez opened the show in a show-stopping, spotlight-stealing, fringed, and flashy bodysuit that included Saab’s signature allover embellishment and a deep-V plunge.
Lopez descended onto the runway in a Las Vegas-appropriate maribou-trimmed fan-shaped platform before a bright spotlight showed her in the Saab creation. The outfit included a fringed layer that shimmered while she performed (with a matching microphone, naturally) and a bevy of tuxedo-clad backup dancers. People reports that Lopez performed a cover of “I Will Survive” and a medley of her hits, including “On the Floor,” “Let’s Get Loud” and “Waiting for Tonight.”
The designer reflected on the moment in a touching letter, saying "Elie Saab's celebration at Riyadh Season is a culmination of generations of fashion, rooted in traditions that preceded me, and which I have had the privilege of reinvigorating and evolving. The event captured vast expanses of creativity drawn from the essence of Arab culture and its golden years of intellect and innovation, now showcased to the world through this magnificent event."
After the runway show, Lopez was seen posing alongside the designer (with Berry and Dion) wearing a teal gown with a similar plunging neckline. This time, the deep V went down to her navel.
People adds that the performance is Lopez's first since she announced her divorce from Ben Affleck and the cancelation of her tour back in May.
