Today marks Ben Affleck’s 52nd birthday, but in true Jennifer Lopez style, she’s stealing the spotlight. In a new Instagram post, everyone’s favorite triple threat posed beside a vintage car while wearing a sheer Dior gown with delicate gold embroidery and a slit so high that it showed off nearly her entire leg.
Lopez accessorized the gown with a pair of high-waisted underwear beneath the glittering material and an intricately beaded Dior handbag. The dress included a wrap silhouette, delicate fluttery elbow-grazing sleeves, and a black ribbon belt. She finished the look with a set of dangling earrings, a matching bracelet, and sky-high black platforms with a thin ankle strap.
In keeping with her usual beauty M.O., Lopez had super-dramatic lashes and bronze makeup that included defined brows and heavily lined lips.
A one-word caption accompanied the photos: "Dior." She also tagged her stylists, Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn. The duo also shared the snapshots on their respective Instagram feeds.
Lopez recently celebrated her birthday with Bridgerton-themed bash in the Hamptons. Affleck wasn't in attendance for the festivities and adding to rumors that there's trouble in paradise for the duo, they didn't spend their wedding anniversary together this year, either. More evidence of reported marital issues includes Lopez appearing on the red carpet for her movie Atlas without her husband and Ben skipping out on this year's Met Gala, where Lopez served as co-chair.
Insiders say that the two have come to terms with the fact their relationship may have run its course.
“They got caught up in the moment. Jennifer had wanted this wedding—the gowns, the friends, all the trappings and trimmings—for decades,” an insider told Page Six last week. “They’ve turned the page on all the unfinished business of 20-plus years ago. They’ve seen things through to the end—and they know for sure now that they are not built for the long haul.”
Neither Lopez nor Affleck have commented on the state of their marriage.
