Animal print is back in a big way.
Jennifer Lopez is drawing from the Noughties for her latest outerwear style moment. After unexpectedly cementing itself as one of fall’s biggest trends, Y2K-loved animal print is continuing its sartorial dominance into winter—and the “Love Don’t Cost a Thing” singer is fully embracing the pattern’s unapologetically bold resurgence. As Lopez stepped out in Los Angeles on Tuesday, December 3, she channeled her inner Cheetah Girl with a statement jacket that made the print look so chic.
The multi-hyphenate gave the mob wife aesthetic the cool girl treatment by pairing the coat with her go-to jeans and top combo. The shaggy faux fur piece featured an oversized fit, teddy material, and pockets in front, giving it a more casual vibe. She left it unbuttoned to show off a black turtleneck underneath and her latest sartorial staple: A pair of relaxed jeans with an unfinished hem, which showed off a pair of clear plastic peep-toe sandal stilettos with towering heels underneath. A frosted silver pedicure leaned back into the Y2K of it all.
The “On the Floor” star’s favorite accessory combination, a black Birkin bag and oversized rectangular sunglasses, were the icing on the cake. While her head-turning outfit definitely made a statement, Lopez leaned into errands-appropriate glam. She styled her balayage hair in a sleek middle-parted style with curtain bangs, and added a nude lip and sculpted cheeks.
Lopez has been on a bit of an animal print kick recently, stepping out in a pantsless cheetah print ensemble in November. For the eye-catching look, the Marry Me actress wore a micro cheetah print dress paid with matching bedazzled stockings. Judging from her latest outfit, it looks like the animal print trend isn’t going anywhere this winter.
