I found lookalikes starting at $75.
I want what Jennifer Lopez has. Sure, I’d be curious to experience the fame and fortune the singer has amassed over her impressive decades-long career, but for the sake of this story, I’m actually talking about her shoes. Yes, shoes, because if you’ve read any of my stories in the past, you’ll know I’m totally obsessed with shoes. In fact, I live by the idea that one can never own too many (even if you live in New York City and your shoe closet is so full, you have to use all your force to shut it every time it opens). Just me? Well, okay then.
Lopez posted a sultry photo of herself on her Instagram, and I haven’t been able to get it off my mind since. The singer wore an all-black ‘fit (just my cup of tea!), which consisted of an itty-bitty skirt, which truly is the shortest skirt I’ve ever seen. She paired it with an oversized black jacket that she cinched at the hips with an oversized black belt. In Paris Hilton’s words, that’s hot! But frankly, that skirt isn’t even the hottest thing about the look; those boots are.
Larroudé Kate to the Knee Boots
$485 at Amazon
Lopez didn’t opt for any regular black boots; she opted for the coolest black leather boots of the moment from none other than Larroudé, the footwear brand that’s been taking over Hollywood one step at a time (literally). J.Lo wore the brand’s best-selling Kate boot, a $485 knee-high style rendered in leather (and available in various hues) that’s about as famous as the people who’ve worn it; Lopez is the latest, but celebs who’ve stepped out in Larroudé’s boot include Vanessa Hudgens, Selena Gomez, Taylor Swift, Tracee Ellis Ross, and more.

Knee-high boots are a no-brainer this time of year, as the added shaft height is the perfect way to cover up your legs a bit more once the temperature cools. Stars, in general, have a knack for pairing tall boots with itty-bitty skirts, like Lopez did, playing with proportions perfectly. What’s more, knee-high boots can also be styled under baggy jeans—a wider leg ensures the boots fit seamlessly underneath—or midi skirts for an elegant twist.
While Lopez’s boots are on the pricier end, I found a few styles that could compete with hers—if you don’t want to dish out upwards of $500, of course (though I personally think Larroudé’s footwear is worth the splurge).
Below, check out all the boots inspired by Lopez’s. Wear them with an itty-bitty skirt if you dare.
The Drop Gertie Suede Slouchy Boots
$100 $75 at Amazon
For an affordable option that doesn’t necessarily look affordable, these from The Drop are a top contender. They’re normally $100, but thanks to early Black Friday sales, you can snag them for $75.
Sam Edelman Sylvia Knee-High Boots
$200 $150 at Amazon
These Sam Edelman boots look so luxe, but at $150, they won’t break the bank, either. They’re crafted from a buttery soft leather and are available in so many colors. I’m eyeing the black, of course.
Steve Madden Lizah Knee-High Boots
$100 $85 at Amazon
At $85, these Steve Madden babies are pretty affordable, but the sleek leather, chunky sole, and high-shaft make them look way more expensive.
