Halle Berry is the queen of iconic fashion moments—from her barely there beaded bra and miniskirt set at the 2000 MTV Movie Awards to her mesh floral gown and pixie cut at the 2002 Oscars. Over 20 years later, the actress is still turning heads with her repertoire of show-stopping looks. Most recently, the star made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in a fiery mididress that had a confusing detail.
On Monday, Berry was spotted outside of the studio in a vibrant red dress with an asymmetric bodice featuring a rosette detail, a ruffled strap, and a plunging-on-one-side sweetheart neckline. The frock was fitted through her midsection and hit right below her knees. She paired the crimson look with metallic silver pointed-toe heels, hoop earrings, a smattering of rings, and tortoiseshell sunglasses.
Berry's famous shape-shifting hair was styled in a middle-parted curly bob, and she kept her glam simple with neutral tones and a glossy lip.
During the show, Berry casually revealed that a music legend once asked her on a date. When Kimmel asked the actress if it was “true that Michael Jackson asked Babyface to ask you to go on a date with him?” Berry coyly responded, “I don’t know, but I know Prince asked me out on a date,” before sharing the story with the audience.
"I was at one of his concerts here on Sunset at the Key Club, and he had somebody come out with a piece of paper," she explained. "And you know like kids do, you say, 'Do you like me? Yes or no.' I went, 'Yes!' I mean, I'm at his concert, right? 'Yes!' [He] came back out again: 'Would you go out with me?'"
Berry's response to Prince? She kind of left him hanging at the time. "No, I didn't send the paper back. I kept the paper."
