She lit up the red carpet.
Demi Moore took her style cues from a disco ball as she made a statuesque entrance at the 2024 Academy Museum of Motion Pictures Gala. On Saturday, October 19, The Substance actress was among the evening’s best dressed as she lit up the red carpet at the annual event—quite literally—in a shimmery silver Prada gown made completely out of mirrored sequins.
Moore swapped out her go-to menswear tailoring for the molten silver dress, which plunged in a deep V-neck and featured thick straps and a figure-hugging wrap design. The head-turning floor-length number, which was styled by Brad Goreski, opened up with a daring thigh-high slit in front that showed off the Ghost alum’s footwear—a pair of platform silver pumps with Mary Jane-inspired straps around the ankles. From the back, Moore’s gala gown was arguably even more interesting, with straps that ended right above her shoulder blades. The backless design plunged into a flattering v-cut that appeared to subtly mirror the dress’s neckline.
The actress kept the gown’s silver-blue color scheme going with her sparkly accessories, wearing her dark locks in a sleek, middle-parted ballerina bun that showed off a pair of wing-inspired statement earrings encrusted with silver, lavender, and blue gemstones. She iced her left wrist with a megawatt diamond cuff and a diamond ring on her pointer finger as she posed alongside stars like The Substance co-star Margaret Qualley, Kim Kardashian, Meg Ryan, Rachel Zoe, and Rita Wilson.
Moore shifted away from her signature beauty for the event with a slightly '80s glam look. In addition to wearing her sleek black hair in an updo for the evening, she accentuated her green eyes with a subtle metallic frosted white and blue eyeshadow combination paired with thick dark lashes. A nude lip, lit-from-within highlighter, and sculpted cheeks finished off her red carpet look.
