She loves an unexpected fashion combo.
Angelina Jolie is adding another glam-neutral look to her New York Film Festival style book. Just hours after posing on the Maria premiere’s red carpet in a vintage bridal-inspired creation from Madame Grès alongside three of her kids, the actress changed into an elegant champagne gold silk gown as she headed to another festival event on Monday night. This time, the actress dressed for the cooler, early-autumn temperatures by pairing the luxe statement piece with a cozy fall staple.
Jolie’s fuzzy black teddy coat featured a bathrobe-like wrap design and extended all the way down to her ankles. It’s no secret that Jolie is a fan of a good neutral gown moment, from the metallic strapless corseted number she wore at the 58th Golden Globes Award to the champagne-hued Tamara Ralph gown she paired with a faux fur shawl in August at the 2024 Venice Film Festival. As she walked from her private car to the event, glimpses of her latest shimmery gown–which featured a flowing skirt and a modest bateau-style neckline—peeked through the fuzzy jacket, which was tied at the midsection.
The Eternals star leaned into monochromatic accessories for her outing, extending the neutral color scheme with beige pointy-toed heels, as well as a pair of long gold statement earrings that reached nearly touched her shoulders. Jolie wore black aviator sunglasses at night and kept her beauty look minimal with a light cherry pout, a sleek blowout, and burgundy red nails.
While the black teddy coat definitely made a style statement, Jolie paired her metallic gown with a very different outerwear piece earlier that day. The star leaned into menswear as she wore an oversized, office-ready gray plaid blazer jacket.
