Madewell and Coach Outlet both launched double-discount sales, with deals on trending bags, denim, and transitional staples. J.Crew slashed prices on its just-dropped early-spring arrivals, and you can save on everything from rich-looking layers to celebrity worn sneakers at Nordstrom, Zara, and Gap.

Given how many good Presidents’ Day sales are already live ahead of the weekend, I’m taking this opportunity to do a major early spring shopping haul, with savings up to 77 percent off.

Zara is where I’m going for affordable shoes and layering pieces that look much more expensive than they are.
